# Send

This endpoint sends a message, not as a part of a ticket.

**Currently the supported protocols are: **
1. WhatsApp
2. SMS
3. AppleBusinessChat

The **from** parameter must be a number or an Apple Id which is linked to your department.

**200 OK response from our endpoint doesn't mean that the message was sent. Subscribe to the NON_TICKET_MESSAGE_STATUS [Webhook event](https://docs.glassix.com/reference/webhook-events#non-ticket-message-status) to receive message status updates.**

> If you're sending WhatsApp messages through this endpoint, you must be aware of the template requirements and the 24 hour service window. Please read our [WhatsApp Protocol Guide](https://docs.glassix.com/docs/send-a-non-ticket-message#whatsapp) first before sending any WhatsApp messages.

The currently supported protocols are:

1. WhatsApp
2. SMS
3. Apple Business Chat

The `from` parameter must be a number or an Apple Id which is linked to your department.

The optional `id` parameter can be any **unique** GUID that you define. If you include the `id` parameter in your request, you will receive it back in the response and in all **NON\_TICKET\_MESSAGE\_STATUS** events.
